By accessing and using DinnerPlanner ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
Description of Service
DinnerPlanner is a client-side single-page application that helps users plan meals, track pantry ingredients, build shopping lists, and organize recipes. The App runs entirely in your web browser. No account creation is required.
User Data and Privacy
All data you create — meal plans, pantry items, shopping lists, recipes, and settings — is stored locally on your device using browser storage (localStorage and IndexedDB). We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal data on any server.
You are responsible for backing up your data. If you clear your browser storage, switch devices, or use a different browser, your data will not be available unless you have exported it.
User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes
- Not attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
- Not use the App to distribute malware or harmful content
Intellectual Property
The App's source code, design, and branding are the property of the developer. The content you create (meal plans, recipes, notes, etc.) is yours. You retain all rights to your own data.
Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party libraries and services (such as npm packages). These services may have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party providers.
Disclaimer of Warnings
The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose.
Cooking involves risks. The App's scheduling calculations are tools to assist planning — they do not replace your judgment. Always follow safe food handling practices and use your own discretion when cooking.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to data loss, spoiled food, or ruined meals.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
